classes and courses
Do you accept students with no dance background?

Yes, we do! For absolute beginners, we recommend starting with Foundation courses to build a solid foundation before moving on to other types of classes and courses.

I have some dance experience but I don’t know which class/course is suitable for me.

Fret not! Just write in to us via e-mail or PM us on Instagram and Facebook. Let us know more about you and we will recommend you a suitable class/course.

Is there a free trial?

Not at the moment, but we might. So follow us on Instagram and Facebook and keep a lookout!

Can I join a course that has already started?

As our courses are progressive, we will not accept any more students once the course has started.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, we do. Send us a message and we will let you know the rates.

Is there an age limit for your classes and courses?

We believe that dance is for anyone and everyone; we have students as young as 10 and as mature as 40. As long as you don’t have any major health conditions, we welcome anyone of any age to join us.

However,  do note that for kids under 18 years old, we will require parents to sign our indemnity form.

What’s the difference between a class and a course?

A class is an open class that is non-progressive and on a walk-in basis. Each class typically has a different topic/focus that the routine and/or drills will be based on.

Courses, on the other hand, is a series of progressive lessons that stretches over a period of 3-6months. Commitment is required as missing one lesson might result in falling behind in the class. Our drillers will monitor each student’s progress closely and provide individual feedback based on drillers’ observation. Walk-ins are not allowed and we also do not accept students when a course has started.

What’s the difference between drills and application class?

Drills class is a 2-hour long intensive class with a focus on drilling movement quality and execution. It is suitable for experienced and amateur dancers with some dance experience who are looking to improve their stamina, form and quality.

Application class is a 1-hour long class that focuses on the application of dance techniques. Our drillers will share different ways of applying techniques through a dance routine. This is suitable for experienced dancers who are looking for ways to creatively incorporate techniques into their dance.

Do I need to have dance background to join the Freestyle class?

Yes, we will require students to have a certain amount of Hip Hop/House dance experience in order to grasp the concepts and apply the techniques shared by our drillers. If you are keen to join but unsure if you are suitable, write in to us and we will talk to you more!

Do you have Freestyle courses for House and Popping?

At the moment, we do not have freestyle courses for these two genres. However, we do have Freestyle Open class for House (by Hanafi) every Sunday 4-6pm at our Orchardgateway studio.

For courses, will there be replacement classes if I miss a class?

We do not have replacement classes as we have to make special arrangements and request our instructors to set aside time for replacement classes.
